Working with our Students' Union we offer a vast array of sports and physical activities, both on and off campus, for our students and staff. We're continually developing our offer to enable students to play competitive sport, but also to be active contributing to their overall health and wellbeing while studying.
'The skills gained from doing sports, such as learning to focus and improvise, can improve your academic performance'
You don't have to be sporty to be part of Team Greenwich
We cater for the very sporty to the complete novice and encourage all abilities to get involved and take part because:
- You'll make friends you might otherwise not have met
- You'll gain skills which improve your employability
- It will help with stress and boost your health
- And most importantly….you'll have fun!
Our sports teams are run and coordinated by students for students under the support and guidance of the Students' Union.
There are many sports clubs and societies that you can get involved in as a student at Greenwich, ranging from Rugby, Netball and Yoga to American Football, Dance, Volleyball, ultimate Frisbee and much more!
If your sport isn't available you might decide you want to set up your own club or society and you'll get support from the Students' Union team to do just that.
Many employers actively looked for mention of engagement in sport on
graduates' job applications

If sport really isn't for you then you'll find something through #ActiveGre, our "get active" programme and provides a variety of activities on each of our campuses and in the local community that you can take part in either for free or at minimal cost.
