You can start familiarising yourself with our Digital Student Centre this summer

The soft launch this summer will give our teams and colleagues time to familiarise themselves with the Student Lifecycle Management platform supporting incoming enquires and student experience.

Our Digital Student Centre will launch for our students in August

Launching across different platforms and touchpoints, the Digital Student Centre will give our students a single space to access useful information and find answers to their queries, at any time of the night or day. Giving our students ownership and status of their queries in one place, accessible on any digital device.

Not just for students. You can find information to help our students on AskUoG.

Our repository of student information, AskUoG, is a question/answer system that uses keywords and phrases to deliver the information students need. The Student Lifecycle Management Programme is supporting you to support our students by equipping you with relevant up-to-date information at a click. All members of staff will be able to offer a positive student experience by signposting students to the Digital Student Centre or by navigating through the information together.

Personal Tutors can use the Digital Student Centre and AskUoG to provide pastoral support to our students

Personal Tutors can use AskUoG to stay up to date with all the progress in the services we provide. We recognise the important role Personal Tutors have in delivering our Student Success sub-strategy, paving the way for students to be ready and able to face the challenges of work and life. Personal Tutors will be able to provide holistic support and informal advice to students as well as encourage them to receive the expert support they require through our Digital Student Centre.

Missing information can be added by our Digital Student Centre team.

Our repository of student information, AskUoG, is a question/answer system that uses keywords and phrases to deliver the information students need. If you notice, or if a student tells you it is missing information, please let your local SLM content creators know and they’ll do their best to add it. Alternatively, you can contact our Digital Student Centre team and they will get in touch with your local creators.

Please signpost our students to the Digital Student Centre for all their non-academic enquiries.

We recognise the complexity of our students’ enquiries, and we are proud to support our students with the expert support they deserve. The Digital Student Centre will empower our students to be in control of their enquiries on a variety of enquiries including registration, student status letters, fees and finance, academic and personal conduct, accommodation, visa and international advice, wellbeing, welfare and personal support.

Our colleagues from across the university will collate, monitor and respond swiftly to each query, supported by improved insights, including real-time student feedback, which will help us refine our information and reduce duplicated queries and unnecessary “bouncing” of queries between our teams.

Students can raise non-academic enquiries through the Digital Student Centre

The Digital Student Centre is a hub of information and an empowering platform for students to be in control of their enquiries. They will be able to self-serve using AskUoG and raise further questions and concerns by placing an enquiry. Students can ask for further support and clarifications at any time, a click away from our team of experts in student engagement, student finance, academic and personal conduct, accommodation, visa and international advice, disability, mental health and wellbeing. Students will receive notifications and updates in real-time, placing students at the forefront of our enquiry management.
