Nora tells us her of sporting triumphs and her dream of working for an international company.

Nora Horn is a second year Business Management student from Hamburg, Germany. After school, she took a gap year and came to London to work as an intern in the marketing department of Vue Entertainment.

"London seemed to be an amazing place to live. I loved the diversity of the city and decided I wanted to study here."

After her internship, she worked as a volunteer for a sports and development organisation based in South Africa.

"I enjoy coming out my comfort zone. I learned a lot about different cultures in a diverse environment. I then secured my place at the University of Greenwich and moved to London."

At university, Nora is actively involved in sports within the Students' Union.  She is captain of the Women's Hockey Team, leading them to win the league and be awarded 'Team of the Year'.

After graduating, Nora aims to remain in the UK and fulfil her dream of working for an international company. To boost her career prospects she makes the most of the services offered by the university:

"I take part in the Greenwich Employability Passport and the mentoring scheme. After my second year I will hopefully secure a place to do a placement year. This will help me to secure a job after university. I definitely want to stay in England and my dream would be to work in a very international company."

Between studying and enjoying sports Nora like to get out and about:

"I enjoy going to Greenwich Park and around the Greenwich area."
