The Pre-Master’s provides you with the advanced skills you need to continue on to your chosen postgraduate degree

At postgraduate level, the  Pre-Master’s provides either one term (10 weeks) or 2 terms (20 weeks) of preparation for entry into a 1-year master’s degree in computing

Modules you will study for Two Term option

English for Master’s Preparation 2

The aims of this module is to build on your existing English language ability and to prepare you for study at master's level at University of Greenwich, in particular, to raise your measurable performance from a minimum of 5.5 IELTS to 6.0 IELTS (with no skill below 5.5) or higher and to continue to increase linguistic competence and boost confidence in the use of English in the context of postgraduate studies.

Studying Postgraduate Business in the UK

The aim of this module is to introduce you to the structure, demands and expectations of postgraduate study of business in the UK. There is an emphasis on the development of academic skills of particular relevance to study at postgraduate level.

Computer and Network Security

Provides students with little or limited experience of Computing with a theoretical and practical introduction to Software Engineering. Enables students to learn about the methodologies and approaches adopted in software development. Places software development in the context of client requirements and demonstrates how these might be met. Places such development in a wider context by introducing issues around sustainability, legal frameworks and ethical considerations.

Technical Project Management

Provides a developed understanding of project management within a technical context. Considers how management requirements set the parameters and establishes the desired outcomes of a project. Illustrates the importance of team building, role allocation and use of project management tools in taking a project forward to its conclusion. Enables students to follow a simulated project through to the final report stage and presentation to those commissioning it.
