This activity takes place online Marina is a commercially astute senior HR Business Leader with proven experience in leading organisational change. She is often described as a truly strategic and innovative HR leader with great ideas and personal drive and integrity to make them happen. She is a strong influencer, engages at all levels, challenges the status quo and yet is thoughtful and warm. Marina grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and first moved to the UK to study International Business at the University of Greenwich when she was 18. She was attracted by a more autonomous learning framework and decided to pursue her education in the UK. She since held several progressive roles within retail, manufacturing, consultancy, and engineering industries. Marina’s journey with her current organisation, ITW, started in April 2013 when she joined the business as the European Human Resource Manager for Instron, Test & Measurement. She was quickly promoted to Divisional Human Resource Director in 2014. In October 2016 Marina made a cross-segment move when she was appointed a Platform HR Director for Automotive. In her current role Marina is leading the HR function for 5 divisions for the Americas and Europe with the revenue over $1bn and 3500+ employees. She is responsible for HR strategy, organisational design and leadership development and most recently led a project focusing on enabling organisational growth through commercial capability development. She is an experienced coach and a real advocate of Systemic Coaching and Constellations. Marina is a chair of European Women’s Leadership Development Council for ITW and a non-executive director for OPOP, a community hub and a social enterprise with a mission to transform the catering industry and drive down inequality. Marina is truly passionate about people development and believes that creating a true learning organisation can unlock heaps of hidden potential within the business. She is a nature lover, yoga and meditation teacher and a keen animal rights advocate. Sustainability, personal growth and human rights are among the topics that are a source of continuous inspiration for Marina. Marina, her husband, two children, two dogs and cat reside in Rickmansworth, on the outskirts of London, and in her free time she enjoys travelling, spending time with friends, practicing yoga, qigong, reading and long walks. While there are many perspectives on this out there, Marina will share hers, shaped by her experience of driving organisational change and leading businesses through ambiguity. She will explore a few fundamental building blocks that she believes can set any organisation for success, from key leadership traits and organisational culture to organisational design and structure.
