Richard’s #1 passion is helping people realise their ambitions! Just two years ago, following a highly successful 25 years as a headhunter, he heeded his own advice and made a complete career pivot. Joining forces with creative business partner Jeremy, they agreed Google and Linked-in were not serving the needs of niche or multi-disciplined creatives and committed to do something about it!

Their ambition is huge - to build a complete creative ecosystem, a single gateway for finding and promoting everyone and everything creative. Whilst Richard is still focused on helping people realise their ambitions, through CreateBritain.com, they now hope to be helping thousands at a time…

About the lecture:

The creative industries are a significant economic driver for the UK economy, both for domestic consumption and exports. As we move forward out of the pandemic lockdown, the creative industries will need to regroup and rebuild their infrastructure.

This talk will provide insights on how these industries can maximise their potential by freeing up access to skills, levelling up (together - as a nation) and by making sure no one is left behind. Our speaker will also share their experience of developing and launching a new online platform, how they are applying their punk ethos to take on California tech, and the importance they place on giving creatives the freedom to be - whatever they want to be!
