Grant Writing Retreat

27th Mar 2025 - 28th Mar 2025

Greenwich Campus

This is the third event in a series of three that is being delivered by the University of Greenwich as part of The British Academy Early Career Researcher Network.

Join the network to have access to this and all the events and resources that the London cluster of the British Academy ECR network has to offer.

Grant Writing Retreat

Join us for a two-day intensive grant writing workshop designed to equip participants with the skills to craft compelling and successful grant applications. Key ECR Network leads from across the university, including the FLAS ECR Hub, are working together to deliver this event. It is the third in a series of grant-writing ECR-focused events co-organised by the University of Greenwich and the British Academy.

Day 1:

  • Morning: Gain expert guidance on tailoring grant applications to different funders, focusing on tone, style, and vocabulary.
  • Afternoon: Dive into hands-on writing sessions.
  • Evening: Unwind and network with peers at a social event in the Old Brewery.

Day 2:

  • Morning: Participate in peer-to-peer feedback, review grant drafts, and explain each other’s proposals in a collaborative colloquium.
  • Afternoon: Implement feedback and refine your grant applications.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and fine-tune your grant writing skills with the help of your peers and expert trainers.

Work in teams on the research proposal you formed at the Interdisciplinary Sandpit, or work in completely new teams at this event.
