You have the brilliant ideas, you have the finely honed research skills, you have drive and originality, now all you need is the money! But how to secure it.

This full-day, interactive session will offer space to explore the funding landscape in all its depth, breadth and complexity. Share experiences with peers on your previous difficulties and successes, receive guidance on effective approaches to successful funding bids, and most important of all, listen to key funders give their guidance and tips on how to secure funding for your project.

The session includes a panel of experts who will be available to provide advice and host a Q&A during the afternoon:

Chair:

  • Professor Simon Swain, Fellow of the British Academy

Panel:

  • Dr Ken Emond, Head of Research Funding, British Academy
  • Professor Anna Vignoles, Director, Leverhulme Trust
  • Dr Thomas Bray, Senior Research Manager, Wellcome Trust

Organised by the University of Greenwich in collaboration with the British Academy's ECRN, this event is one of a series aimed at giving you the information you need to make your knowledge fly.
