This activity takes place online

Join Aisha Gordon-Hiles, Greenwich alumna, for a 1 hour practical session exploring strategies for relief, regulation and self-care for menopause symptoms with a particular emphasis on chronic pain.

By the end of the session, participants will:

  • Have a greater understanding of chronic pain from a trauma-informed and nervous-system perspective.
  • Understand how stress and perceived threat can interact with the experience of pain.
  • Have experienced several practical techniques for supporting regulation and managing difficult sensations.
  • Be able to identify which tools feel most accessible and appropriate for them.
  • Have considered practical ways to integrate these tools into everyday life.
  • Leave with greater choice, agency and curiosity around their relationship with pain.
