Overview: This free workshop will provide useful information to enable disabled students to settle into college and university life.

Audience: Any post-16 SEN/SEND/ALS/disabled students and school/college staff  interested in higher education.

This free workshop may be relevant to post-16 SEN/SEND/ALS/ disabled students considering and/or attending university. The session may also be useful for school, college and university staff who work with prospective and current disabled students.

STAART is very aware that the more disabled students are prepared for university, they are far more likely to stay, and hopefully thrive. The session will cover what is considered a disability in further/higher education; the different types of support available in further/higher education; Disabled Students Allowances (DSAs); and top tips to thrive whilst studying.
