Abbas Seyedan is a PhD Researcher in Finance at the University of Greenwich Business School. His research focuses on corporate bond markets, credit spreads, and the asymmetric effects of external shocks on corporate bond pricing. His work investigates how monetary policy, financial market stress, macroeconomic conditions, and firm characteristics influence credit spread dynamics across different market regimes using empirical finance methods and large-scale bond datasets.

Before beginning his PhD, Abbas completed an MSc in International Banking and Finance and an MSc in Computer Science, developing expertise in financial markets, quantitative analysis, data analytics, and artificial intelligence applications in finance. His broader research interests include corporate bond markets, financial stability, risk management, machine learning in finance, and sustainable financial systems.

Abbas aims to publish high-quality research in leading finance journals while contributing to evidence-based policymaking and advancing the understanding of financial markets through empirical research.
