Alexander Guschanski

Dr Alexander Guschanski BSc, MA, PhD

Associate Professor in Economics

Dr Alexander Guschanski is Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Greenwich and a member of the Centre for Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA). His research focuses on income and wage inequality, market power, inflation, and unemployment, with empirical work drawing on microeconometric analyses of individual-, industry- and firm-level data. His work has been published in journals including the British Journal of Industrial Relations, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Energy Economics, Development and Change, and Socio-Economic Review, and has been cited in parliamentary debates. He has delivered research projects for the Hans-Böckler Foundation, Unite the Union, the New Economic Foundation, and the Institute for Public Policy Research. He has been part of the German Network for Pluralist Economics since its founding.
He holds a BSc in Economics from the Free University of Berlin, an MA in Political Economy from Kingston University London and a PhD in Economics from the University of Greenwich.
