Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management

Dr Abdul Ali has a PhD in Supply Chain Management and he joined the University of Greenwich in 2021 as a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management with a strong focus on Sustainability. He was a full-time faculty member at the University of Northumbria-London Campus (QA) between 2019-2021- as a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Before that Dr Abdul was with the University of Bedfordshire where he was a Visiting Lecturer & a Researcher at the Business and Management Research Institute from 2015-2019. He was also a visiting Lecturer & Dissertation Supervisor with QA at the University of Ulster London Campus, London Metropolitan University & Roehampton University London.

Abdul’s primary research interests are in the areas of sustainability, green/environmental supply chain management & logistics, circular economy, supply chain collaboration, lean six sigma & industry 4.0 in supply chain management. He published peer-reviewed journal articles & book chapters and presented his works in national and international refereed conferences. Abdul is also a reviewer of many prestigious journals. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) and a member of various professional bodies.

Responsibilities within the university

Teaching in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management, dissertation supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level and other departmental responsibilities as a member of the faculty.
