Dr Francisca Da Gama MA (Hons), MSc, PhD, SFHEA

Senior Lecturer in International Business

Dr Francisca Da Gama is the Academic Portfolio Lead for Business Management and Organisational Leadership in the School of Business, Operations and Strategy. She has a background in Latin American studies and gained her PhD from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She was a lecturer at Massey University (New Zealand) before moving to London in 2002, where she taught Latin American Studies at Goldsmiths College 2005-08. She trained in second language and literacy teaching, which she taught in Further Education and in 2014 gained an MSc in Psychology of Education at the Institute of Education (UCL).

Francisca's current research focuses on indigenous responses to extractivism in Latin America, and the ways in which business narratives and political networks engage with non-Western cultures. She is also interested in how students from different backgrounds transition into higher education culture and academic practices.
