Dr Munazzah Iqbal BBA (Hons), MBA, PhD, PGCE (HE), FHEA, MCMI

Teaching Fellow in Business Management

Dr Munazzah Iqbal is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Greenwich and currently serves as Interim Programme Leader for the BA Business Studies programme. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education. She is passionate about enhancing the student learning experience and believes that fostering motivation and a drive to learn makes the educational process more engaging and enjoyable.

Dr Iqbal holds a PhD in Business and Social Sciences from Aston University, Birmingham. She previously completed an MBA in Global Business at Coventry University in 2017, where she was recognised as a high achiever. She also holds a Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Sciences, which she completed alongside her doctoral studies.

She is currently involved in student-led co-creation research projects at the University of Greenwich, focusing on student belonging and the creation of safe and inclusive learning spaces. She is also contributing to projects aimed at promoting academic integrity in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) among students.

Her PhD research examined the team-level effects of deep-level diversity on fairness perceptions, with particular attention to sense-making processes, ethical leadership, diversity management practices, performance, and team cohesion. Using a multi-method approach, her research explored these dynamics among diverse populations, including employees and managers in the Middle East.

Her broader research interests include diversity and inclusion, fairness perceptions, ethical leadership, team dynamics, and diversity management. She is particularly interested in how individuals and teams navigate differences in increasingly diverse workplaces and how leadership and organisational practices can contribute to more inclusive and equitable working environments.
