Paul-Sylvester Ajani-Makam has been a PhD Candidate at the University of Greenwich since September 2020 under the supervision of Dr. James Kennell (first supervisor), Dr Uros Delevic and Dr Tesfa Mehari . His main research interest is “An Investigation into the Green Economy as a Mechanism for Stimulating Sustainable Tourism Development in Nigeria”. Paul-Sylvester holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Management from University of Surrey (UK), a Masters/PostgCert in Post compulsory Education from the Institute of Education, University of London (UK), PostgDip in Leadership and Management from Brunel University (UK) and Masters from University of Sofia “Kliment Ohridski” (Bulgaria) in Geography of Tourism.

Before joining the University of Greenwich, Paul was a contract Lecturer in Business/Travel and Tourism with 10 years’ experience, teaching across many Further Education Colleges.

Paul-Sylvester is the editor of Monitoring African Tourism and The Makam News, Aspire Tourism News.
