PhD researcher

I am investigating the interaction between wage and price inflation and aggregate demand and labour productivity using dynamic time-series econometrics. I apply this to UK data as a robust means of assessing the ‘aggregate demand regime debate’. In addition, I examine the role that external shocks, such as oil prices, have on the UK economy.

I tutored the course Intermediate Economics for Business (ECON 1077) during 2023.

Macroeconomics, Kaleckian/Keynesian Economics, time-series econometrics, structural analysis and forecasting, Stock-Flow consistent economic models.

Key funded projects

Currently, I am about to submit my PhD thesis, which has been generously funded by the Vice Chancellor’s scholarship.

The Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS), Renner Institut and Austrian Chamber of Labour (AK) funded a research project entitled “A fiscally sustainable public investment initiative in Europe to prevent climate collapse”. I was a researcher on this project from inception to completion, from 2019 to 2020. Three research papers, a policy brief, a journal article and discussions with policymakers resulted.
