Dr Truc Nguyen
Senior Lecturer in Management
Dr Truc Nguyen completed her PhD in Management in 2023 at the University of Kent, UK, where she was awarded the prestigious International PhD Research Scholarship. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Distinction) from Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, Finland, and an MBA (Distinction) from RMIT University Vietnam.
She is the co-author of two books: Tourist Behaviour: The Essential Companion and Leadership During a Crisis: A Focus on Leadership Development (Routledge). Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as The Leadership Quarterly and the Journal of Business Research, as well as in major international conference proceedings, including the British Academy of Management.
In May 2025, Truc was awarded a competitive grant of AUD 7,000 from the University of Wollongong Dubai for the project Ethics and Artificial Intelligence: Insights for Managerial Leaders in Dubai, where she serves as a co-investigator. She has also collaborated on several research projects with investigators from RMIT University, the University of Technology Sydney, and Edith Cowan University.
Truc is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her research expertise lies in leadership, cross-cultural management, ethics, ethical decision-making, qualitative methods and institutional theory. She welcomes opportunities to supervise PhD students in these areas.
Responsibilities within the university
Dr. Truc Nguyen is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the Executive Business Centre, Greenwich Business School (GBS). She joined GBS in July 2023, where she teaches at the postgraduate level. Prior to this, she was a member of the teaching team at Kent Business School (2019–2022) and later served as an Associate Lecturer at RMIT University Vietnam from June 2022. Since March 2025, she has been serving as the Interim Programme Leader for the MBA Global (with Placement).
