Dr Punitha Puttuswamy BSc, MSc, PhD

Lecturer in Computer Science

Dr Punitha Puttuswamy is a Lecturer within the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences department at Greenwich University with over two decades of cumulative experience in academia, research & development and IT industry.

Dr Puttuswamy is a Subject Matter Expert with two decades of exceptional experience in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. She has a Technical-Astute towards innovation and research, and has, 5 US patents, 70+ research publications, 15+ technology bulletins, 5 books, and 50+ invited talks on National/International platforms. She has contributed to business transformation in various industry verticals during her IT career.

She has supervised PhD students and welcomes proposals from prospective PhD students. Dr Puttuswamy has been an advisory/program committee member of many AI related conferences and a reviewer of many international journals and conferences.

She was awarded her PhD, MSc, BSc from University of Mysore in 2006, 2001 and 1999 respectively. She is rank holder and worked on Spatial reasoning and Advanced Data Structures for image archival and retrieval for her PhD award.
