Phil Hudson

Phil leads the Tech Team that supports the Faculty’s design studios, workshop, photography, and specialised computing / plotting facilities.

He has a particular interest in the use of traditional and emerging 3d scanning processes to capture and explore spaces, sites, and shapes, examining and re-presenting their features, details and hidden properties. Using software techniques to apply atmospheric, lighting, shadow and lens settings that cannot be achieved in the physical world enables the generation of hyperreal depictions of the model and the picking apart and reassembly of forms revealing unseen relationships between the component parts.
