1. What was your experience of entering the Enterprise Challenge?
Entering the Enterprise Challenge was a really exciting experience. I received the email, and since I was already exploring a business idea at the time, I thought why not give it a go? I didn’t have high expectations, but I felt like I had nothing to lose. As I progressed through each stage from the initial round to the finals, it became more and more thrilling. Every step felt like an achievement. Being selected, pitching on stage, and advancing all the way to the finals made the experience both memorable and fun.
2. How did the Generator’s support help with your business?
The Generator provided genuine support that extended far beyond this specific business. I learned about scaling, value propositions, marketing, and building systems that support growth. I also gained a solid understanding of how to nurture customer relationships, from turning suspects into clients to building loyalty and retention. The programme gave me a clearer vision of how to lead, structure, and grow a sustainable business.
3. How did your experience with the Generator help you to get the Generator bursary?
My previous involvement with the Generator definitely helped me secure the bursary. I had already participated in the Challenge and engaged with their team throughout, so I was a familiar candidate with a proven commitment. That visibility worked in my favour when I applied; they knew my name, my ideas, and how dedicated I was. Participating in opportunities like this naturally builds credibility and opens doors.

4. How will you spend the money?
I plan to use the bursary for a new, service-based business that requires less upfront cost than my previous product-based venture. That original idea is still one I intend to pursue, but I intend to revisit it later when I’m in a more stable financial position. With this new venture, I’ll be investing in legal support for contracts, professional advice, and marketing to help build visibility and attract clients. This approach is leaner and more sustainable for where I’m at right now.
5. What are the next steps for your business?
I’ve recently hired a business mentor to support me through the early stages of growth. I’m currently focused on lead generation and hope to secure my first client by September. From there, my goal is to build steadily and have around five clients by December or January. I’m excited about the direction it’s heading and confident in the support system I’ve built around it.
