The Generator held the finals of their annual Enterprise Challenge competition last night with eleven students pitching their ideas in the hopes of becoming Greenwich Entrepreneur of the Year and winning a share of the £14,000 prize money. Over 100 people attended the event at the Powerhouse including local entrepreneurs and business partners.
Students pitched their businesses to the panel of judges; Peter Le Voir, co-founder and Chairman of Rhokett, Ella Weinberg, Director of Ella Ensures and Generator Advisory Board Chair, Tiffany Chiu, Director of Juliemay Lingerie and Remy Foucher, Head of Education and Social Impact at Santander.
"This year’s Enterprise Challenge Finals was truly a showcase of the innovation, creativity and determination that University of Greenwich students have to offer. Our four judges were all so impressed with our finalists and commented on the high calibre of ideas and pitches heard throughout the evening. All of the finalists definitely made it difficult for the judges to decide who the winners would be. This year was made even more special with our collaboration with FPT University in Vietnam, and it was fantastic to see them pitching alongside students from Greenwich in the finals."
Joe Blomfield, Enterprise Operations & Events Adviser at the Generator
