My time here at the University of Greenwich has been full of great memories

Final year MSc Mental Health Nursing student Adedotun Adeyeye talks about why he chose Greenwich

“I chose the University of Greenwich because of the environment and the state-of-the-art facilities.” Adedotun explained “Additionally, the diversity of student backgrounds and the experienced lecturers teaching my course helped me to make my decision.”

Adedotun goes onto explain that so far, his experience has been great and extremely rewarding. “I have been able to meet and surpass my own expectations.” He said. “I have enjoyed using the new skills labs which have aided my learning and practical skills.”

When asked about lectures and lecturers, Adedotun told us that he enjoyed the combination of online classes and face-to-face lectures. “The course modules are relevant, well-tailored and delivered by lecturers with a wide range of experience, who are very knowledgeable in their field. The first-class academic support I receive from the lecturers when required is second to none”.

Adedotun also praised his placements. “I enjoyed my clinical placements.” He said. “All my placement practice assessors and other members of the team were very welcoming and supportive of my learning. I was provided with numerous opportunities to learn and practice skills. I also received constructive feedback which really helped in building my confidence.”

Adedotun is proud to say that he is his cohort’s student representative. “I am privileged to have this role.” He told us “It has given me the opportunity to meet a lot of students and at the same time make a number of friends which I still keep contact with.”

We asked Adedotun if he would recommend this course. “Yes, I would absolutely recommend it.” He revealed “By the time I graduate, I will have gained the appropriate knowledge and skills required in providing nursing care to service users and other duties as appropriate.”

Any last words from Adedotun? “My time here at the Greenwich has been full of great memories. I am glad I chose the University of Greenwich for my course.”
