Keeping our systems safe
Upgrading to Windows 11 isn’t just about new features - it’s about security. Windows 11 has introduced improvements to existing security features and offers stronger protection against threats. By upgrading now, you’re helping to reduce risk and keep university systems safe, aligning with advice from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
Return outdated devices
We’re working with faculties and directorates to upgrade and replace older hardware across our campuses. Please log in to IT self-service and complete an IT Asset request form to request a new laptop.
If you have any unused or outdated university hardware, please complete an IT Asset Disposal form. Returning old hardware help us to manage resources and reduce waste.
We know change takes effort, and we appreciate your support. By upgrading your device you’re helping us move forward together - securely and confidently.
