The slides from September's BME Attainment Gap Community of Practice event are now available

They include the role of the Student Curriculum Consultant here at Greenwich, examples of activities from the Attainment Gap project at University of Hertfordshire, and our Case Study competition.

At our second Community of Practice event we were joined by Helen Barefoot from the University of Hertfordshire, another of the universities involved in this project, who shared examples of the activities they are embedding and discussed the impact of their work.

Our next event takes place on Thursday 18 October

    1. Lunch & Learn with Kenisha Linton, 12.30 - 1.30

    The Department of  HR and Organisational Behaviour has significantly reduced the BME attainment Gap over the past year. Kenisha Linton, a senior lecturer will be sharing some of the practice in her department. 

    This session builds on the brief presentation at the last CoP, and she will share her perspective and experiences on how her department has been able to reduce the gap, as well as which next steps  to further tackle the attainment gap.

    2. Case Study Writing Workshop with Simon Walker

    Straight after Simon Walker from Educational Development Unit  is facilitating a case study writing workshop from 13:30-16:00, which will be good preparation for those wanting to take part in the case study competition.
