(updated 3/8) Changes to our Covid-19 test sites on campus from 2 August 2021

TLDRoffon

We are making changes to our university test sites on campus, this article summarises the changes.

It remains important to get tested regularly

Staff and students who are on campus should get a Covid-19 Lateral Flow Device (LFD) test twice a week with 3-4 days between tests. Where possible, you should test yourself using a home test kit before coming to campus.

At Avery Hill and Greenwich campus (updated 3/8)

Our test sites at Avery Hill campus, temporarily located in The Dome and Dreadnought at Greenwich campus have changed to home test kit collection sites.

The new arrangements are now in place and our test sites in The Dome, Avery Hill campus and Dreadnought, Greenwich campus have now reopened. They are open between 8am-11am on weekdays for home test kit collection.

They are open to students, staff and contractors of the university, Bird College and Trinity Laban, please bring your student/staff/contractor ID when you visit the test site.

We continue to ask people to book a test kit collection in advance using our booking system to avoid queuing and provide us with data that we are required to gather by the DHSC.

Testing remains available through Greenwich council’s community test site in Daniel Defoe Hall and other Greenwich council community sites, and there are a number of ways to collect or order home test kits.

At Medway campus

Medway council will extend the opening hours of the community test site in the Deep End, its opening hours will be:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8.30am – 4pm
  • Sunday: 12noon – 7pm

Tests can be booked via the council’s website: How to get a symptom-free test | Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptom-free testing | Medway Council.

Our web page with details of testing arrangements on campus will also be updated with this information.
