The University recognises that students come from a wide range of backgrounds and that financial circumstances can change unexpectedly. Students may face increased living costs, unexpected expenses, changes in their financial circumstances or other financial pressures that make it difficult to cover essential costs.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you may wish to consider applying for support.

What evidence will you need?

Before submitting an application, students should consider whether they have access to other sources of financial support and make sure they have the information needed to demonstrate their current financial circumstances.

As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide supporting evidence relating to:

  • Savings
  • Student finance or other available funding
  • Other relevant financial circumstances
