The Small Business Charter accreditation demonstrates a business school’s effectiveness in supporting SMEs, student entrepreneurs and local economies.

It is a mark of excellence of a business school’s provision of high quality, tailored guidance, education programmes and services to help small businesses and entrepreneurs run successful businesses.

Securing reaccreditation will provide further opportunities for the school to run various management programmes and to build further networks with key communities.

From the report, the assessor panel mentioned the following:

“There are some truly impactful activities happening in the business school, and it is clear to see the value they bring to those businesses who engage.

"Business leaders spoke highly of their mentors and their personal outcomes of collaborating. It was clear to see how the businesses are engaged with an ecosystem which has been designed to allow the transfer of knowledge in a two-way system.”

The reaccreditation project was led by the Director of the Executive Business Centre, Katie Ballantyne and the Head of Enterprise and Innovation, Rachel Brown, with Deputy Dean, Joanna Smith as our FLT Chair and was supported by Nikki Makinwa, Head of Accreditations & Standards.
