Looking after your wellbeing at Greenwich

Starting university is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming at times.

Whether you're adjusting to a new environment, managing academic pressures, or dealing with personal challenges, Student Wellbeing Services is here to support you throughout your time at Greenwich. Some of our services include:

Counselling Service

Sometimes it helps to talk things through with a qualified professional. Our Counselling Service offers confidential counselling sessions where you can explore personal difficulties, emotional challenges, life events, or anything else that may be on your mind.

Counselling provides a supportive, non-judgemental space to reflect, gain insight, and develop strategies to help you move forward.

Mental Health team

If you are experiencing more significant or longer-term mental health difficulties, our Mental Health Team can provide specialist support. The team works with students who may already have a diagnosed mental health condition, are receiving support from NHS services, or are experiencing difficulties that are having a significant impact on their studies and day-to-day life.

The team can help you access appropriate support, coordinate with external services where needed, and work with you to create a plan that supports your wellbeing and academic success.

Psychological Wellbeing

Our Psychological Wellbeing team offers a safe, confidential space to talk about anything affecting your wellbeing. We can help with issues such as stress, anxiety, low mood, loneliness, confidence, homesickness, relationship difficulties, and adjusting to university life.

You can access one-to-one wellbeing appointments, practical support, and guidance to help you manage challenges and make the most of your university experience.

You don't have to wait for a crisis

Many students access support for everyday challenges, not just during difficult times. If something is affecting your wellbeing, reaching out early can make a real difference.

Whatever you're going through, Student Wellbeing Services is here to listen, support, and help you thrive during your time at the University of Greenwich.

To find out more or access support, visit the Student Wellbeing Services Wellbeing Hub, speak to a member of staff during Welcome Weeks, or join one of our online drop-ins. Dates, times and joining links for all drop-ins are available on the Wellbeing Hub.
