Make the most of Teams and Office 365

TLDRoffon

Here are the best ways to access training, learn from colleagues and share ways of teaching, communicating and collaborating using our remote working technologies.

There are a range of Microsoft Training resources available to help you familiarise yourself with Teams and steadily build your knowledge. To get started you can see the key features by walking through an interactive demo of Teams or by reviewing the Teams Quick Start guide.

To make the most of the functionality they give us, it is crucial that you take time for regular development of the skills to use the systems we provide. It's suggested that that once a week you develop your skills further by visiting the Microsoft Teams help & learning page, or by signing up for Instructor Led Training for Microsoft Teams.

For university specific Teams support, our Remote Working webpages have been updated to include information on Office 365 and the IT Service Desk will continue to support you with technical enquiries as usual.

Teams is a great tool and can enhance how we support and collaborate with our students. However, it has a lot of features and it can be difficult to identify the best one to help you achieve your goal.

We have created the Teams Launch Support Team to help staff and students experiment with and ask questions about features in Microsoft Teams. There are also four Greenwich Learning & Teaching Teams where colleagues who are Supporting Learners Online can learn from developing practice and share what is working well.

If you have found a useful feature and think your colleagues would like to know about it, share your #TopTips for #Teams on Yammer. You can also follow the Topic and see the tips that have already been shared.

If you have something you would like to use Teams to achieve please let us know via email and we will either signpost you to the support available or arrange a dedicated session with your team.
