Marianne Boyle appointed as Head of Sport Strategy Articles

Marianne brings a wealth of experience from within the sport and leisure sector, to the newly established Head of Sport Strategy role at Greenwich. Most recently she has worked in the London Borough of Hounslow managing the leisure service. This includes managing capital leisure projects in excess of £50 million, working strategically and creatively to successfully implement the emerging and changing national agenda for sport and physical activity.

In her three years with Hounslow Marianne has gained the borough a reputation as a reliable and successful deliverer of both revenue and capital sports projects, and positioned Hounslow as the first London Pathfinder site for the Football Association's new £130 million Parklife programme.

As a passionate advocate for physical activity and sport and what it can achieve in terms of individual and population level health and wellbeing, Marianne is looking forward to leading this here at Greenwich. Her first task will be to create a sound strategic direction and communicating a strong vision for sport supporting our joint agenda to 'Make Greenwich Great'.

Please welcome Marianne to Greenwich and introduce yourself if you see her on campus.
