Two of our students, Nathan Abraham and Wiktor Karolewski, will be running workshops to help connect students with like-minded mentors who can help refine your business ideas.

Wiktor Karolewski is a third year accountancy student and Nathan Abraham is in the final 5th year of architecture, here at Greenwich.

Both have been selected to promote the Mayor's Entrepreneur 2018 competition to students across London.

Over to Nathan and Wiktor to explain more:

The Mayor's Entrepreneur brings students together from across London universities to come up with innovative ideas to improve our city.

Students – you! -  have the opportunity to win £20k and gain mentorship from City Hall and industry experts.

Applications are now open, and students have until 18 February 2018 to apply.

We want to encourage students to just go for it, attend a workshop, come and speak to one of us, and we can then help you. But, we cannot help you, if you haven't first taken a step forward!

We'll be running workshops to support dedicated students with their ideas, and help connect students from the University of Greenwich, with other like-minded students and mentors who can help refine their business ideas.

Look out for details of those soon, or contact us to find out when they're taking place.

I had the opportunity to propose an idea last year, and even though I was unsuccessful in reaching the final 10, I learnt an important new skillset by taking part. Students will learn how to present their ideas with clarity, and how to put together a pitch. The amount of valuable experience I take with me for the future, and the contacts I have made have been very beneficial.   Nathan Abraham

Although I have not directly taken part in the Mayor's Entrepreneur myself, I can really recommend it as a useful opportunity to network, grow your skillset and learn lessons about yourself that will help with your future. As a business owner myself, I have taken value out of opportunities such as this, and know that the workshops at City Hall, as well our own ones, will be crucial to helping students refine their idea and hopefully making them the next drivers of change in London!  Wiktor Karolewski

If you want to discuss your idea, or have any questions, then please get in touch with us and good luck!
