The cost of tickets for our Medway bus service will increase by 2% from 1 September 2024 in line with the current rate of inflation. Students are encouraged to used the bulk purchasing option where you should pay no more than £7 extra this year based on purchasing 200 tickets (see table below for ticket prices).
The university will continue to pay most of the service costs to subsidise users. This currently amounts to around 70%. A charge is made to reflect that the service is normally used for commuting from private accommodation and is highly favourable compared with using alternative public transport.
