Saying thank you and recognising colleagues is part of the fabric of our community and our success, and plays an important role in defining who we are as a university and creating a sense of pride and belonging here at Greenwich.
Our shared values, which are set out in our Strategy 2030, help us to articulate and demonstrate to our community what is important to us. They guide us to adopt and embrace the behaviours that will help us to achieve our strategic plan and distinguish us from others. Our values also set clear expectations for our whole university community about the behaviours that inform how we work and are recognised.
Our Values:
Inclusive
Always inclusive and empowering - being fair, supportive, aware, compassionate, polite, respectful and determined, and ensuring all people are supported and celebrated.
Collaborative
Embracing collaboration - working together, being open-minded, listening, being adaptable, free-thinking and enterprising, and seeking out new ideas together.
Impactful
Evidence led and outcomes focused - making a difference, demonstrating our contribution to knowledge and society, achieving goals for ourselves, the university community and the wider world.
Our Values Cards
Our cards were launched at our recent This is Our Time Staff Awards. We are making arrangements to distribute these cards in faculties and directorates so you can share a message of thanks and recognition with a colleague.
Printed on sustainable paper we currently have a limited number of values cards, so don't miss out on sharing recognition with each other. If you prefer, you can always post a 'praise' message on Yammer - as everyone knows, saying thank you can go a long way.
