The new scheme Reuse @ Greenwich will make it even easier for staff and students to donate, swap and repurpose items.
Reuse @ Greenwich includes:

- Clothing Swaps
- Book and Stationery Reuse
- Bargain Corner
The goal of bringing all our circular economy work under one name is to create a campus-wide culture of responsible consumption, waste reduction, and giving new life to pre-loved items.
I have things to donate
Great! The Sustainability Team will take the following items in clean and working order:
- Furniture: Desks, chairs, dividers, pedestals etc. Email us: reuse@greenwich.ac.uk with photos and dimensions, and we’ll organise collection.
- Books: Fiction, Non-fiction, Textbooks, and CPD materials all accepted.
- Stationery: Folders, notepads, pens, pencils, scissors, staplers – the list goes on.
- Clothing: Keep an eye out for clothing swap events happening across campus – they’ll be announced via the Portal, @sustainablegre on Instagram and via Viva Engage. Bring clean, wearable items along and exchange for tokens to use at future swaps.
- Household items: If you’re Medway based or go there regularly, Bargain Corner is a great place to donate your underused household items, books, bedding, electrical items.
- End of term: We know moving out of halls or leaving university can generate vast amounts of waste. Together with the British Heart Foundation we can help redirect kitchen equipment, clothing, electrical items, games, books etc. away from waste and into reuse. Look out for the donation points across campus in Term 3.

Please be as specific as possible about what you’re looking for – particularly for furniture, exact requirements and dimensions are helpful so we can respond quickly – and we’ll get back to you.
For Books and Stationery Swaps, there are designated points across the campuses where you can look at what stock we have. You’re also able to email us if you’re after specific stationery items.
At Medway? Pop into Bargain Corner to see what they have in stock. Particularly useful if you’re after household items.
