TLDRoffon

We want all members of our community to share information on what activities they do that improve their mental health. Find out more about how we're supporting the BRIT Challenge this year.

We recently announced that the university will once again be supporting the British Inspiration Trust’s annual BRIT Challenge here. The challenge is a fantastic opportunity for our university community to come together and support each other by improving student and staff mental health, fitness and wellbeing.

This year, we want to focus on inspiring members of our community to invest time in activities that improve their mental health, and we need your help to do just that.

Get involved

We want all members of you to share with us what activities you do that improve your mental health. We will then share these stories throughout the month of March in the hope that this will inspire colleagues and peers across our community to do the same. We hope that throughout this period and beyond, we will all be reminded to take the time to look after ourselves and to do the things we love.

So please, share your activity with us. Whether that’s dancing or drawing, powerwalking or poetry, we want to hear from you. Get in touch with us via the following form.

Going the extra mile

The BRIT challenge has a historic focus on physical activity and we want to encourage staff and students to share their activity with us throughout the month of March.

Across our campuses, we will be placing QR codes in and around our sports halls and gyms which will allow you to log a workout or activity. Please use these when on campus. Alternatively, you can log your activity directly here.

Additional ways you can support The British Inspiration Trust

We have strived to make this year’s BRIT challenge an inclusive one, allowing all members of our community to participate. We understand that some may wish to support the British Inspiration Trust in continuing all the fantastic work that they do across the country. Should you wish to do so, you can make a donation to BRIT here.

If you have any questions regarding the BRIT Challenge, please contact the Student Engagement Team.
