I'd like to nominate Associate Prof Benz Kotzen as MyUoGHero who never stopped coming in to Stockwell St building and looking after not only aquaponics lab but also the building's rooftop gardens!

I would like to nominate Dr Benz Kotzen as a campus hero. He has not missed a day in Stockwell st since the beginning of lockdown back in March, this includes weekends! He continues to look after the Stockwell st roof gardens and the fish as well as his teaching and research activities. He sends us daily pictures of the gardens as we missed the wonderful displays of flowers back in the Summer and continues to lift our spirits every day with pictures and jokes by text. He makes me smile every day.

I would like to nominate the UoG IT Services Support Team. They have been under immense pressure supporting Academics, Students and Professional Staff working from home since March 2020. Stuart Leslie has been outstanding in his support and I would like him to given a special mention for his knowledge, skills, patience and determination to find a solution to every IT issue. He always goes the extra mile!!!

My Campus Hero is Jamie Cameron from the Webteam in ILS. He is so kind and clever and never endingly helpful to me and never makes me feel like an idiot. Over the years and particularly now with home working he has saved me many times. I truly do not know what I would do without him. He is an all round top bloke – thank you Jamie for everything.
