We source local projects that our bright and innovative students can work on. They then develop the practical and technical skills required to be competitive in future job interviews.
About Student Enterprise Projects
Student Enterprise Projects is an employability initiative created by the School of Computing & Mathematical Sciences (CMS) to help students and the local community. We connect students and recent graduates with real-world projects to gain work experience. We help the local community by connecting them with our capable students to solve an IT or Business issue.
Key aims
The Student Enterprise Projects initiative has two key aims:
1. Give our students the opportunity to gain relevant work experience by working on best-endeavour development projects with charities/social enterprises and not-for-profit organsiations.
2. Support the local community by offering very low cost (or in some cases, no cost) solutions to your IT or business problems.
Student benefits
- Work in a supervised environment, supported by experienced CMS staff
- Gain the experience you need to be competitive upon graduation - hone your practical and technical skills on a real-world project
- Help the local community while applying what you've learned in your course
- Student Enterprise Projects are already vetted as realistic and attainable for those looking for a final year project
