Based at the stunning and historic Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. The School of Humanities & Social Sciences offers courses across a range of humanities and, allied, social science subjects.
University of Greenwich hosts the Greenwich Book Festival annually with acclaimed writers, poets and illustrators including Michael Palin, Billy Bragg and Malorie Blackman OBE and an inspiring range of events for adults and families.
We offer a broad range of courses in subjects including History, Sociology, Politics & International Relations, Languages & International Relations, Drama, English Literature, English Language and Creative Writing.
Drama at Greenwich offers innovative and practice-led courses. Students learn and work out of the Bathway Theatre, a specialist drama facility with six studios and a flexible theatre space, or at Bird College.
Study English at Greenwich on a World Heritage Site with a rich cultural history. Take inspiration from London’s theatres, galleries, bookshops and literary events as part of your degree.
Where better to study for a history degree than a World Heritage Site? You’ll be taught at the Old Royal Naval College overlooking the Cutty Sark and National Maritime Museum.
Where better to study international relations than Greenwich, an area steeped in maritime history? You’ll have the chance to undertake work placements at the House of Commons or international organisations.
Study sociology at Greenwich and you’ll find yourself tackling the important and often controversial issues in society, including gender, ethnicity, social justice, and global politics.
