Completed PhD in 2022 in Strategic Performance Management of Urban Sustainability: An Embedded Case Study of London City, UK. I completed my BSc in Management Science and Business Administration at University of Kent and MSc in Management Science and Logistics. I have obtained my Fellow in Higher education certificate (FHEA) in July 2020.

I started teaching at the University from September 2016 until May 2018 and taken up role as a lecturer in Strategy and Operations from 2018 at Coventry University London. While working at Coventry University London, I have developed and lead operations management, project management and sustainability modules. Besides, I worked as a programme(course) director for BA (Hons) Business Management programme and developed BA (Hons) Global Management Top-Up programme.

I have joined University of Greenwich as a full-time lecturer in Business Operations in 2022 and I experience of teaching a range of modules in the Department of Systems Management and Strategy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the modules taught include Business Planning and Development, Introduction to Business Processes, Research Methods, e-Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Global Integrative Project, Advanced Project Management and Strategy and Business Decision Making. I have also been a module leader for some of these modules. I am currently in the school of Business, Operations and Strategy.

Responsibilities within the university

  • Module Leader and teaching: I am currently the module leader for Global Integrative Project 3. I also led a range of strategy and operations management modules during the previous academic year which included a complete redesign and delivery of the modules.
  • Supervision- I supervise undergraduate and master’s students for their dissertation and is a part of the supervisory team for a PhD student.

  • Deputy Programme Leader- MA International Business Programme: A pivotal role in supporting the Program Leader in various aspects. Responsibilities include assisting with curriculum development, as a Deputy Programme Leader , I contribute to strategic planning, and  program enhancement. My role ensures the smooth operation of the program and a high-quality learning experience for students. Academic leadership and ensuring program quality.

Research / Scholarly interests

I was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by the Greenwich Business School in 2022.  My PhD topic is “Strategic Performance Management of Urban Sustainability: An Embedded Case Study of London City, UK” and my key research areas are urban sustainability, strategy, performance management, sustainability, circular economy, operations management, quantitative and qualitative methods.

I am also interested in teaching and learning research. I have worked with the Coventry University’s Quality and Assurance team as a part of the course/programme enhancement and programme development. I am interested in contemporary learning models to enhance student engagement.

In line to my research interests, I am an active member of the Connected Cities Research Group (CCRG).

Key funded projects

In line with my expertise and research interest, I am working on the Work Package 3 (WP3) Facilitate the Adoption of Circular Entrepreneurship in the Tourism and leisure sector (FACET) which is a €3.89 million project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund to accelerate the transition from linear to circular business practices in the coastal tourism and leisure sector (https://www.gre.ac.uk/research/activity/faculty-of-business/facet-facilitate-the-adoption-of-circular-entrepreneurship-in-the-tourism-and-leisure-sector). Responsible from data dissemination part.
