Joshua Eason
Josh Eason is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science with The University of Greenwich and joined the team in July 2025.
Prior to joining the university, Josh has worked in a diverse range of clinical settings, both in and out of hospital. He has extensive experience in trauma and critical care, with previous roles working in Adult Intensive Care, for the Wales Air Ambulance and for the Neonatal Intensive Care Retrieval Team. Josh has led on numerous national project’s and service development initiatives, and also held senior clinical leadership positions within the Ambulance Service as the Clinical Lead for Digital Transformation for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Within the university, Josh is the Module leader for Ethical, Legal and Behavioural Aspects in Paramedic Practice and forms part of the team for Advanced Paramedic Skills. He is also an Academic Tutor. Josh has a strong interest in workforce development, collaborative learning and inter-disciplinary simulation.
Josh also provides Medical Advice for the BBC and remains the Series Clinical Advisor for BBC Casualty. He has advised on the medical scripts for over three years and is responsible for the medical accuracy at the script writing stage, filming and post-production phase. He has also provided Medical Advice for numerous other television programmes and has a passion for accurate public medical education.

Josh led the team in the resuscitation and stabilisation of two extremely premature infants in unprecedented circumstances. - BAFTA 2023 & 2024 (British Academy Film and Television Awards) - ‘Casualty’ for Continuing Soap and Drama (Medical Advisory Team).
- Josh has been part of the Medical Team for Casualty during two BAFTA wins, with ‘How to Save a Life’ being the key episode for the nomination and win.
