Dr Georgios Mantas
Senior Lecturer in Digital Security & Management (Internet of Things Security)
Dr Georgios Mantas is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Security & Management in the School of Engineering at the University of Greenwich, UK. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2012, his M.Sc. degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, PA, USA, in 2008, and his 5-year Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2005.
Dr Mantas is the Module Leader of the “Introduction to Business Cyber Security” (COMP1720) module. He has also been involved in several ICT security research projects, such as H2020-MSCA-ITN-SECRET, ECSEL-IA-SemI40, CATRENE-MobiTrust, CATRENE-NewP@ss, and ARTEMIS-ACCUS, and his current research interests revolve around i) intrusion detection systems for IoT, ii) lightweight authentication mechanisms for IoT, iii) risk-based adaptive user authentication for mobile devices, and iv) privacy-preserving user authentication mechanisms for Smart City applications. So far, his research work has led to one edited book and more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and books. Dr Georgios Mantas is an IEEE member, an IEEE Computer Society member, and an IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society member.
