When Kritika first walked onto our campus at Greenwich Business School, she saw more than historic buildings and a picture‑perfect backdrop. “Every moment, every choice and every chapter should be a little bit aesthetic”, she tells us, laughing. Studying International Business, MA here gave her a chance to merge her love of design and detail with a course that looks outward to the wider world.
“I didn’t just want to study business; I wanted to understand how companies operate across borders, how culture influences decisions and how markets connect people. When I visited Greenwich, the mix of history and diversity on campus told me I’d found the right place”
From the start, Kritika was determined to make the most of her time here. She signed up for every employability event she could: “One day I was chatting to someone from NatWest, the next it was a Barclays executive. Those conversations didn’t just pad my CV, they made me feel brave.” We love hearing this, because connecting students with industry is core to what we do.
In addition to her studies, Kritika served as a Programme Representative. This wasn’t just a line on her résumé; it was a lesson in empathy and leadership. “Being a rep isn’t glamorous – it’s about listening and problem‑solving. When I was named Programme Rep of the Year, I realised those small actions matter”.
Keeping life colourful
Kritika is quick to point out that success isn’t only about grades. She balances lectures with yoga, books and dancing with our Bollywood Society. “Those hobbies aren’t side notes – they’re the colours on my palette” We couldn’t agree more. Our societies exist because we believe learning happens everywhere, not just in seminar rooms.
A particularly powerful quote of hers sums up the leap from student to entrepreneur: “What if there was a platform to help students design their own career journeys? The Generator programme didn’t laugh; they gave me a desk and mentors”. That idea became Pathway Explorer, a start‑up that helps students find their purpose with clarity and style. We’re proud that the skills she learned in our International Business modules – from market research to strategic thinking – played a part in making it real.
Passing it on
When we asked Kritika what she’d tell future students, she emphasised the importance of choosing a university that feels right, making the most of networking opportunities, maintaining hobbies to stay balanced and having the confidence to carve out your own route. In her words: “You don’t just find your path; you create it”.
