Student Success Board

Reporting to the Academic Council, the Student Success Board is responsible for the development and implementation of the University's Student Success sub-strategy.

The Board oversees the quality and standards of educational provision to maximise the individual potential and satisfaction of students.  It reviews relevant metrics and ensures that the Office for Students (OfS) conditions for quality and standards are met in the areas for which the Board has responsibility as well as ensuring that the University is achieving the requirements of other external quality assurance bodies such as Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies.

It also oversees the University's strategic approach to the use of technology enhanced learning (TEL), widening participation and the delivery of the Access and Participation Plan, work to eliminate the BAME Awarding Gap and improving performance in the NSS, continuation and Graduate Outcomes.  It develops and approves Academic Regulations and policies related to educational quality and standards (except those delegated to other Boards covering Partnerships, Programmes and Research).
