The Strategic Partnerships and Fundraising directorate brings together three teams – Alumni and Fundraising, UK Partnerships, and Outreach – to help the university build meaningful, lasting relationships with its alumni and partners. We’re here to work with you.

Working with our alumni community
Our alumni community numbers circa 300,000 former students worldwide. The Alumni and Fundraising team manages the university’s relationship with that community and can help you to:
- Invite alumni to events, panels, or advisory boards
- Find mentors, guest speakers, or curriculum contributors
- Share news or opportunities via our newsletter and social channels
- Raise funds for student projects, scholarships, or bursaries
- Access alumni data and insights (note: we do not share contact details directly)
To get started, email alumni@gre.ac.uk with a brief outline of what you need. We’ll respond within a few days to discuss next steps. For most requests we ask for 4-6 weeks’ notice, particularly for targeted communications and events.
Working with partners
The UK Partnerships and Outreach teams work with schools, colleges, employers, and community organisations to widen participation and strengthen the university’s civic and professional reach. We can help you to:
- Develop or formalise a partnership with an employer, school, or community group
- Connect students with industry contacts or work-based opportunities
- Engage local schools and colleges through outreach and access activities
- Coordinate joint projects that support the university’s strategic priorities
