Why Greenwich?
Emmanuel first heard about the University of Greenwich through his sister, who'd already graduated from here. He went along to an Open Day, liked the facilities, and the commute worked because he was already based in London. Sometimes the decision is that straightforward.

Proud Moments
For Emmanuel, it was finishing his dissertation. Months of hard work, long nights, and then the satisfaction of finally submitting it. He came away with a first-class grade for it too, which made the effort feel even more worth it.
“Completing my dissertation was the most memorable moment of my course… it felt extremely satisfying submitting my work after months of intense hard work.”
Campus life
Emmanuel looks back on his time on campus fondly. He loved the location, the walk through the grounds, and the overall experience of being a student here. In his words: "Memories!"
After graduating, Emmanuel's goal was to get into the Banking and Finance sector. He did.
His advice
Make use of what's there. The lecturers, the professors, the GBS support teams. Emmanuel's take is simple: engage with those resources, and you'll get more out of the course.
One more thing
Emmanuel's into etymology, the study of where words come from. Here's one he shared with us: the word "quarantine" comes from the Italian "quaranta giorni," meaning forty days. During the plague, ships arriving in Venice had to wait forty days before anyone could get off. So quarantine literally means "a forty-day timeout.
