Choosing a university is about more than finding the right course. You want to know you'll be taught by experts who care about your success, receive support when you need it and graduate with the skills and confidence to achieve your goals.
The latest NSS results – based on final year undergraduates’ experiences - suggest Greenwich Business School is delivering exactly that experience.
Dr Gary Brown, Greenwich Business School’s Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean, said:
“These results reflect the dedication of our staff and the strength of the partnership we have with our students at GBS. We're especially pleased to see students telling us their voice is genuinely heard, and that feedback on their work helps them improve - because that kind of trust is exactly what helps students feel confident, supported, and able to achieve their ambitions. Every one of our NSS themes improved this year, and we're not stopping here."
Academic support that makes a difference
University life can be challenging, so having access to the right support matters.
In this year's survey, 91% of students rated academic support positively, reflecting the guidance and encouragement available throughout their studies.
Some of the higher scoring programmes (with above average score) for the Business School in the support category included Business Management (Year 2 Entry); International Business; Economics; and Business with Finance.
Feedback from students throughout their studies, not just final-year NSS respondents, consistently highlights the positive impact of support from lecturers, tutors and specialist teams here in the Business School.
Rudra Patel, a BA (Hons) Business Management student, said:
"I've received a lot of support for my studies, from personal tutors to learning mentors and support staff across the campus. I've never felt alone here and I've always had someone to talk to."
Donina Barcari, a BSc (Hons) Finance & Investment Banking student, added:
"Throughout my studies, I received substantial support from the academic staff. Lecturers and tutors were always ready to provide help and guidance, as well as direct me towards additional resources for assignments and exam preparation."
Students' voices matter
Students also reported positive experiences when it came to having their voices heard and seeing their feedback help shape improvements.
The Business School achieved 89% positivity for student voice - a category which looks at students' opportunities to give feedback on their course, whether they feel their opinions are valued, and how clearly they can see action being taken in response.
Some of the higher scoring programmes (with above average score) for the Business School in the student voice category included Events Management; Marketing & Brand Management; International Business; and Finance & Investment Banking.
Student feedback over the last year has helped inform improvements across course organisation, communications and feedback processes, ensuring future students benefit from meaningful change.
Feedback from students throughout their studies, not just final-year NSS respondents, demonstrates the value the Business School places on student voice. Yash, a BA (Hons) Business Management student who became a Programme Representative, said:
"We're invited into real conversations, including meetings with senior staff and the Dean. That's not performative, it's genuine. You feel like what you say matters."
What does this mean for prospective students?
For prospective students, these results provide independent evidence of the quality of the experience at Greenwich Business School. Together, the results reflect a Business School that listens to its students, supports them to thrive academically, professionally and personally, and provides a learning environment where their voices are heard.
Whether you're exploring your options or preparing to start university, these results show that Greenwich Business School offers high-quality teaching, strong academic support and a student experience shaped by partnership and continuous improvement.
What is the NSS?
The National Student Survey (NSS) is completed annually by final-year undergraduate students across the UK.
Because students respond after reflecting on their full university experience, the survey provides valuable insight into teaching quality, academic support, assessment and feedback, learning resources, student voice and the overall student experience. You can find out more about the NSS here.
