In partnership with Santander Universities, the University of Greenwich is expanding its commitment to innovation by opening the Generator Bursary to staff and academics. Traditionally, a vital support system for student-led startups, this new round of funding specifically invites university staff who are running their own businesses or social enterprises to apply for financial support to accelerate their growth.
The Generator Bursary, powered by Santander, provides equity-free funding designed to help ventures scale, develop new products, or reach new audiences. Whether you are developing a research-led commercial project or a social enterprise, these bursaries can be used for essential growth costs such as equipment, legal fees, or marketing campaigns. This initiative reflects the university’s mission to foster a culture of entrepreneurship that extends beyond the classroom and into our professional and academic community.
Applications are now open, and we encourage all eligible staff and academics with trading businesses to apply. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will begin next Wednesday, so don't miss this opportunity to take your business to the next level.
