Super-Recognisers

TLDRoffon

Prof. Josh Davis is a leading expert on super-recognisers, individuals with an exceptional capacity for memorising and recognising unfamiliar faces. His work on tests and protocols for identifying super-recognisers has been used by national and international police forces as well as private sector companies serving security, identification verification, and law enforcement support functions.

Alongside this Davis has been applying research into identification via facial composite E-FITs to aid companies supporting law enforcement. So far, 6 million members of the public globally have completed the super-recogniser tests developed by Davis and his team on their website, showing the intense interest this phenomenon and research area hold for the public.

Leading from this media presence and awareness raising have been a number of museum exhibits for which Davis and his team contributed directly, and he has consulted with authors writing fiction involving super-recognisers - The Truth about Lies by T. Darnton and The Other You by J.S. Monroe.
