Save the dates for our Medway Talks Open Lectures 2023-2024

Dates have been confirmed for this year’s Medway Talks, a series of open lectures run by the University of Greenwich, the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University.

Learn something new from our experts

After the success of last year’s Medway Talks lecture series, a new initiative from the Universities at Medway, we are excited to announce that we will again be running these unique open lectures, and our dates for the 2023-2024 series have been set.

For another year, academic staff from the Universities at Medway will share their expertise with anyone in the community wanting to enjoy a different kind of evening out and learn something new about a fascinating topic, often one that is very relevant to current affairs. Lectures are free to attend, refreshments are provided, and free on-site parking will be available.

For a glimpse of what to expect from the series, why not watch a recording from one of last year’s talks, led by Professor Gurprit Lall of the Medway School of Pharmacy? His intriguing talk delved into the science of sleep to answer a key question: Just how important is sleep, anyway?

Lectures will run once a month (with the exception of the month of December) with the series closing in June.
